COVID-19 Update January 2021
 We Remain Operational

In line with the latest Government guidance, our rubbish removal service continues to operate normally (albeit with added PPE measures to protect our staff and customers) and will continue operating during the lockdown announced on 05/01/2021.

Precautions we take:

  • All our staff undertake a risk assessment before starting work confirming they do not have any symptoms of COVID-19

  • Staff have their temperature checked and recorded everyday

  • Staff wear face coverings when speaking to customers (keeping a 2 metre distance) and when inside customers properties

  • We use 1 driver for collections wherever possible to minimise risks to our customer and staff

  • Disinfectant and hand sanitiser is used on the vehicle and our payment machines

  • We also offer contactless payment online for customer who wish to pay this way

  • We ask customers when booking if they are isolating or have any COVID-19 symptoms

  • Waste from homes with possible cases of COVID-19 needs to be double-bagged and we will take the necessary steps to dispose of this safely

  • For a house clearance, relating to a death after February 2020, a full decontamination of the property would need to be carried out prior to the clearance

Precautions we recommend you take:

In line with the latest guidance (November 2020) we are still operating inside the home when requested. When operating in the home there are several suggestions you may wish to consider which will reduce the risk to you and our staff.

These include:

  • If possible, please leave the rubbish you need removing outside, to minimise the need for us to enter your property

  • If we need to enter your property we ask that you

  • Leave doors open, to minimise the need for our staff to touch surfaces

  • Keep widows open to allow for good ventilation

  • Try to have the waste in one room

  • We no longer ask for a signature on the Waste Transfer Note, this will be signed on your behalf in line with new COVID-19 regulations

Our office

Our office remains fully operational with the appropriate precautions taken to protect staff including daily temperature checks and adhering to the 2-meter rule.
